HS&S Partner Gary Phelan Discusses Connecticut's New AI Law on Melissa in the Morning

HS&S partner Gary Phelan joined Melissa in the Morning this week to discuss Connecticut's AI Responsibility and Transparency Act and what it means for employers and employees across the state.

The new law requires companies to provide disclosures when artificial intelligence is used in certain employment decisions, adds safeguards around AI chatbots, including protections for minors, and establishes programs aimed at responsible AI development and workforce training. Gary was asked to weigh in specifically on what the law means from an employment standpoint.

Gary has practiced employment law for decades and teaches the subject at Quinnipiac University School of Law.
